This is the biggest indictment of the last 5 years recruiting and coaching I have ever seen.
I'm of the mind that he has to have a winning record (don't care what just more wins than losses) next year or I am done-zo.I think some of you guys should just take a stand. Do you want Dino to stay or do you want him to go? So much hyperbole of 'this is unacceptable, this is the worst thing ever but I think he's still the right guy for the job'. I don't think you do.
It's ok to say it. Take it from me. You'll be fine.
I think he should stay, and I think we'll look back on this year and laugh one day. But I also think we're going 1-10, maybe 2-9 this year.
Due to his buyout he gets next year, even if we do go 1-9 this year. Looking at the roster and the recruits, I don't think next year, record wise, we'll be much better. Yes, we'll beat the cupcakes, but probably end up near last in the ACC.I think some of you guys should just take a stand. Do you want Dino to stay or do you want him to go? Has a coach ever started building a program and got a 10 win season and then followed that up with a losing season and then a 1 win season and subsequently got the program back to winning seasons? I made my statement without seeing the OOC. In a normal world that is 4 wins baked in and we would need to be 3-5 in conference to have a winning record? Possibly 2-6 with a bowl win to be 7-6? I feel like that is a reallly low bar to clear. Firms my stance.Fair. If the world is back to normal, next year's OOC schedule is @Ohio (not State), home against Rutgers, Liberty, Albany. If that's not a 7 win season...
I'm almost inclined to say if we don't beat Pitt in the Dome. So sick of losing to Nardouchi, while everyone else seems to beat his boring team.
That is reasonable, however the scale if the defeats and general lack of roster are pretty bad. I guess if they get 6 wins next year people will be happy. No coach has had a 10 game conference season with 1 OOC game.
That's not meant as an excuse but if you're going do to your math exercise, you have to have some context to it.
As I said above, next year's schedule is very forgiving. If we don't capitalize, then maybe we all have our answer.
YupIndefensible, of course we have posters telling us this year doesn't count so I expect the excuses to come rolling in.
