There was something where I read Iowa State. decided to hold the ball and not take a last minute shot, and if they took that shot and made it, they would be playing in the semi final game. It's so crazy. Also I could have taken a later flight home, and gone to this game. But at 10 am I will be just leaving for the airport. Oh well, These games were fun, but exhausting
I guess the staff will be pulling an all nighter to study game film and quickly set up a game plan, and then telling the team over breakfast what they plan to do, At least the team will get to fly home tomorrow afternoon, an have a breather on the east coast.

It's an opportunity for us, but I completely understand how Iowa State fans feel. If it were our seating after a 2-0 start in this tournament, I'd want a game against an opponent considered a peer or a step up.

Very surprised by the draw and I’m wondering if the program is as well. Maybe they are more in the know on what was going to happen once Kansas secured the 3rd place game. Golden opportunity here. This is why the rest of the non conference didn’t really need anything higher than a Q3 because we have 4 big time Q1s.

I just picture the organizers of this tournament all holed up in a Vegas suite over the last few weeks, sitting around a glass table and doing mounds of cocaine as the make up(and change) the rules of this garbage tournament.

So Iowa State will be without there starting PG, Tamin Lipsey. Looks like Killyan Toure who had 20 points against Creighton is filling in for Lipsey scoring and Heise filled in for assists with 6 against Creighton. Guards need to step up to win these games.

If things play out like they look we loss two top 10 teams and a top 20 team in Kansas with Donnie a late scratch.
I’m no fan of having to win 50 games in the ACC but if anything was going to get the team ready it would be this week.

Momcilovic is the one player we need to be aware of. Being without Lipsey will help us a little, he is their senior point guard but can be maddeningly inconsistent. Outside of maybe Jefferson, the rest of the team is good but not great. The plus side is if we limit Milon's looks we can win this game. The downside is my USDA inspector is gonna write me a bunch of NR's when we win.
