He's the VPOTUS, he could have shot a man on the White House lawn and still get an award. They could have given it to him any of the other 125 years he's been alive, he doesn't ride Obama's coattails he doesn't get any sort of award.

Im trying to avoid talking (serious) politics on here now so as not to alienate anyone I haven't yet... but anyone on campus who likes to drink could be inspired by a guy doing so before giving speeches on the campaign trail! (youtube has some) It shows that getting your drink on won't necessarily stop you from any aspirations, even the White House Americans need to be encouraged by something in these troubling times.
