Here is video of the full Syracuse vs Kentucky Title game. This was a great game that was a lot closer then the final score indicated. John Wallace was a beast and had a great game, it's very surprising he wasn't a star in the NBA with his talent and size. We really could have won this game if we didn't miss so many foul shots and cut down on the TO's.

Its funny because that game doesnt even make my list of say top 10 most painful loses as a Syracuse fan. Maybe its because we were so overmatched and going into the game I had zero confidence that we could actually beat that team that Kentucky had. Plus we overachieved big time and the game to me was more disappointing than crushing (ala Indiana, Arkansas, Michigan State, etc). Frankly I was thrilled we kept it in single digits because I feared the score would be 85-62 prior to the game.

The refs sucked in this game John Wallace fouling out with only committing 2 fouls

All I need to do is watch Part 7.

Edit:
Just watched part 7...

PISS ON KENTUCKY...PISS ON PITINO...PISS ON TONY DELK...PISS ON BLUEGRASS...PISS ON HORSE-RACING...PISS ON FRIED CHICKEN...PISS ON MINT JULIPS...

that game is on the ncaa vault site, funny i just watched it the other nite and almost posted about it. we went toe to toe with them for most of the 1st half till they went on a little 3 pt barragge at end of 1st half to create some seperation. that kentucky team had amazing spurtability. we'd be right there with them, then theyd hit a 3, turn u over with their press and hit another, we'd take a quick shot that leads to a fast break dunk and all of a sudden a 2point game was a 10 point game in literally 30 seconds. that happened a few times in that game.

but to echo what marsh said, that game isnt even on my list of crushing cuse losses. theres regular season games that hurt more than that game.

We left there 3 pt shooters wide open especially Delk who had 6 in the first half. Watch part 6 I really thought we were gonna tie or take the lead during this stretch but just couldn't get over the hump.

All I seem to remember about that game is Delk's 12 dozen treys, our missed FTs, and Otis Hill's several missed up-close shots...

What's startling about that watching that game now is how average (at best) our zone was. We had big guards, but they didn't challenge out top or drop to the high post very well. Hill and Reafsnyder were capable. Wallace and Burgan weren't terribly active.

Even the 2011 zone was light-years better than the 1996 version. We were fortunate that year; the zone was effective because of its novelty, not because we played it very well.

That pass from Sims to Burgan 00:50 part 5 was 1 of the best alley-oop passes u will ever see
