First, congratulations to donniesyracuse on his solid win in the College Pick'em group. His overall record of 182-127 (even with the FCS lines being OFF) is pretty damn impressive and would set you up nicely if you played his picks in Vegas. Maybe he should consider starting a 1-900 number for his picks. He was 4 games better than 2nd place weedsportwarriors and everyone else was miles behind.

Second, I've renewed our Bowl Pick'em group from prior years. Anyone that was in it last year should have an invite already, but anyone else looking to play can join from this link.

It matters in total points. You can have the same number of correct picks as another player but if you don't weight them you will lose. It might not matter if you get more correct.

Yeah. Pick the winners (no spread) and rank by confidence. If your confidence happens to line up with the chronological order of the games you probably can't do any worse than if any of you jokers actually tried.

I think it's the same as last year. You can't pick the game since there aren't teams in it, obviously. After the semis you need to go back and pick the winner. Now, you can still slot it wherever you want for confidence points and there will still be some games between the semis and the final to swap confidence values with.

I think the confidence points is more of a score randomizer than anything. It seems the games I'm the most confident in are the ones I'm more likely to lose. I guess that's part of the reason they have all those big shiny buildings in Vegas.

Well yesterday I had only lost 1 game before yesterdays games but I was in 10th place for our group. Others had lost a few that were ahead of me, so must be the confidence points.

Sure. But you needed to feel confident about those games before setting the value. Everyone is always confident of their winning picks after they turn out right.

There's still time to catch up, if your picks are going that well. You still have the big point games to come, there's no prize handed out after the first week of bowl games. There's no prize after they're all done either, but that's besides the point.
