Like so many of you I've logged a lot of hours on this board, and it doesn't get much more exciting than this- the opener. At least for over a decade it hasn't. Hopefully this season will bring many great moments.
I think this is the year that turns around all of the crap that was brought on by GROB and the end years of Coach P. The Dome got a refresher and has new features...the team looks better than they have in 10 years and I truly think we are headed in the right direction finally. Let's go Orange.
Please, Please, Please...win tomorrow! At this stage I don't give a **** about style points. Have to stop the bleeding and give us something positive to build on. I've got all the confidence (hope) in the world for our D. Just pray they don't get shredded by NW's mobile QB.
Style points hint at other things. We started last season 5 and 2 winning nail biters. We all know how it ended.
I know we're hungry for winning, but there's a difference between putting it in the win column (Tulane, Toledo, that sub division team we barely beat) and performing on the field in a way that doesn't leave the outcome in doubt (WFVU).
The great thing about college football is that you can never tell from year-to-year who will be up and who will be down. Every fan gets to anticipate the season with hope. I don't know what will happen this year but I think it will be exciting. Go Cuse!
