Money. Maybe SC offered more money and we would not match. If the kid was flip flopping I would let him leave. Would not be good for culture to have him stay.I just don't care about these guys until they are on campus anymore, but it's crazy to me that you'd bail on a team 4 games into the season and go back there again, whether you signed with someone else or not.
Poster probably believed all the faceless and nameless Miami twitter propaganda that was all over in November.I love how one of the posters on their forum said this: "Fran Brown seems like a pretty vengeful guy not sure it is worth it even though we could use him". I couldn't roll my any harder lol
Well they have little room to say much with that weasely peckerhead of a head coach.Poster probably believed all the faceless and nameless Miami twitter propaganda that was all over in November.
If he signed a contract with us, the contract is enforceable. So not really sure what SC can even do here legally. If we stick to our guns he either plays for us or sits out I’d think.Beamer is the biggest dbag coach and that’s saying something. He wines and complains when someone poaches a player or coach from him (Lane Kiffin) did it to him. But he has no problem trying to poach players from other teams that already signed. Never been a fan of him and it’s making me dislike him even more
I don’t necessarily disagree, I just look at it as Washington paid a hefty price from him to comeback and he signed a contract being a proven guy with a lot of money. We are taking a flyer on a tight end who hasn’t worked out and he’s trying to flip already.Did Washington let their QB out of his deal? Nope, and we sure as hell shouldn't here
Sometimes people are their own worst enemies and it takes a physical change of scenery to realize that. He’s got such a much better chance of success here than at SC.It’s one of these things where if he doesn’t want to be here do we even bother making him stay with his contract? I think it’s a joke for him to do this but why are we bringing him in still if he hasn’t even started classes and already wants out?
If it's as simple as he truly doesn't want to be at Syracuse, I'm sure Syracuse would find a way out of it and release him. He admitted in his transfer article with Syracuse SI that while leaving the South is outside his comfort zone, that Syracuse would be the best scenery to focus on his ultimate goal (The NFL) and that Syracuse uses the TE the right way. He also highlighted the relationships between some of his past coaches and new OL coach, Juan Castillo and how his past coaches assured him that he is in good hands. If I were to guess, Beamer or someone on his team is desperate after striking out in the portal on Tight Ends and likely pulling a string with someone in Smith camp who didn't want him to leave South Carolina to cause a mess here. Syracuse can't just simply cut ties on someone they invested in with Michael Smith, especially since it doesn't seem like him going back to South Carolina is in his best interest. And also he signed with Syracuse. It’s one of these things where if he doesn’t want to be here do we even bother making him stay with his contract? Yea I agree. Just find it weird that he himself trying enrolling classes at South Carolina again. I just got the impression he really does not want to be at cuse.If it's as simple as he truly doesn't want to be at Syracuse, I'm sure Syracuse would find a way out of it and release him. If it was as simple as that, I think Syracuse wouldn't think twice about voiding the contract. South Carolina is allowing a messy game to be played, they know it, and now it's public. I would also guess that Smith camp is split on whether he should've ever left South Carolina and if he should go back or go to Syracuse.Yea I agree. We did the same thing with Jason Hart back in the day. He wanted to flip to UCLA,( there were reasons) and JB wouldn't let him out of his commitment.I don’t necessarily disagree, I just look at it as Washington paid a hefty price from him to comeback and he signed a contract being a proven guy with a lot of money. Well we will see how the staff handles it10 career catches is not worth this drama at all lol
We have no idea if he is being manipulated by people in his camp to work something out with South Carolina. If that is the case, I'm disgusted with South Carolina for entertaining this.Cracks me up. These athletes want to be treated as adults and get paid. Fine. Welcome to the real world where enforceable contracts exist for a reason. When you sign, you better be damn sure.
Welcome to ‘Cuse kid.
