Class of 2027 TE Oakley Keegan (NY) Offered

This is a response to Tomcat’s post in the Spring Visitors thread:

That was Oakley on the far right in the Liverpool pic. He was measured at 6’6” 180lbs. Not sure if this can be shared, so please edit out if need be, but apparently each recruit is given a number rating. The lower the number, the higher priority the recruit. I don’t have any information re: metrics to establish those numbers, but I do know that Oakley did qualify for a scholarship. However, they really want to see him dedicate himself to adding significant weight before they decide to pull the trigger with that offer.
The take home message for him was that they’re going to keep a close eye on his progress.
One thing that stood out to me was was that despite his father’s allegiance to Clemson, he said that he would be fully on board if Oakley decided to go to Syracuse. He said the energy up there was palpable and you could tell a change in this program was coming.

On a sidenote, Oakley plans to camp at Syracuse, Clemson and Notre Dame this summer

Great info. His athletic ability really jumps off the paper in his film. Hope he fills out and works hard in the weight room.

If so, he has a chance to get a LOT of scholarship offers.

Plays basketball with my son. Very coordinated for someone this size and age. Has great hands. Not afraid of physical play. Super nice people. There are a few kids in Liverpools freshman class that have serious potential on the football field.

You know the last 3years Dabo and Clemson barely beat us, not so much last year, but previous. You could see on Sweeny's face he had the look like all business due to our close contest. I bet that Dabo is a bit relieved that they are not playing us this year. Just saying, l
know he's not afraid but this year would maybe be this year some of the calls might go in our favor. The talent is there accross the board for us to play and win a close one. ( wrong thread I know, my bad)

I believe he is going down to Clemson camp soon and the word is that they are itching to get him there. They can’t talk to him until he’s at the camp. Sounds like an offer may be coming.
