For the love of god, it's the raw material. You really think that SU doesn't do everything they can to bulk kids up? It's genetics, it's the frame they start with. And SU can't afford to trade speed for bulk.

FSU's size, speed, and strenght is such an outlier.

You really think the thing seperating SU from FSU is Will Hicks?

FSU get the top kids in the country with the best speed, athleticism and strength and when they get to FSU their S&C makes them even bigger stronger and faster . So thats makes them bigger stronger and faster and it was obvious on the field. It has nothing to do with our S&C program. Just ask how Maryland, Wake, NC state or even Penn st how physical we were. FSU is just elite athletes

It goes back to the recruiting debate. Some people believe that we can Jay Bromley our way to success. I believe that the recruiting ranking system has a lot of merit. Fla St started a DL today, Eddie Goldman? I think he is a RF/So. I remember that he had 36 D1 offers, every top program. Amazing. He's just another guy on that team. Nicklaus's grandson, O Leary, I'm pretty sure we offered him. The odds are considerably better when you sign 25 3*4*5* guys every year. Bigger, Stronger, and usually more talented to start with

Ding ding ding. Dead on the star system tells the story . The Jay Bromleys of the world are few and very far between. And even as good as Jay is he was thoroughly dominated today

This is surprising to hear. From what i've been hearing, Will Hicks is well regarded among S&C coaches. I think it was our athletes that hurt us today and then 5 o-lineman cant block 7 guys at the point of attack.

You may be right, but i was under the impression Hicks is doing a good job with what he has

some here seem to forget that one picture of our o-lineman who were fat with big guts standing on the sideline or the fact more than a few said walter reyes seemed to have gotten slower each year that went by. How many times was it mentioned to bring in Donovan Darius to run the S@C program,and those points were never mine.

but their receivers were blasting our defense players downfield on swingpasses, and the safeties were knocking our o-line backwards on blitzes.

G.T. who doesn't recruit the studs that FSU does was blowing us off the ball bigtime.

I never expected us to beat this team, but S@C was a much bigger issue than i would have thought.

just look at John Raymon between when he first got here and before he got hurt. He got huge and it was not in the right places. he had a whole year in hicks S@C PROGRAM and the results were not impressive.

Was Will Hicks the reason why Clemson got blown away by FSU? What about everyone else FSU destroyed? Do they all have awful S+C coaches? So sorry you are bitter about the loss but find another reason for it, that one doesn't hold water and puts one of the bright spots of our program in an unnecessarily bad light.

A.williams 42 carries for 185. we couldn't get our defense off the field that day.
