Rock was a friend for 30+ years. A great guy who battled right up until the end.

A lot of people point to the 1983 team as the one that helped SU turn the corner in the lacrosse world. I have always thought that the guys on the 1979 team paved the way for the 1983 team, and in turn paved the way for the rest of us. Was very fortunate to get to know Rock in the mid-90s, great guy with plenty of stories of the good old days. And oh yeah, he was the original 22.

I knew his brothers Joe, Jerry and Dick. Joe served our country in Viet Nam. Played sports with and against all of them at one time or another.

I am very sorry for everyone's loss here. I didn't know the man personally but I could tell he was loved and a good man. Thank you Orangeyes and RIP .
