Teams to root for in the postseason?

Since SU is obviously out, I'm trying to find a team (or even teams) to root for in the ACC and NCAA tourney. I'm leaning towards UVA in the ACC, simply because I live thirty minutes from C'Ville. I really can't stand the plodding pace that they play, but they are efficient.

As a board, we should try to get behind one team in the NCAA's. It would be fun to have banter about 'our' team. Any suggestions? I'm thinking Wisconsin possibly, but I'd like to hear who you're rooting for and why.

To be honest if Su isn't there, I have very little interest in who wins. I guess someone who hasn't been there before, like a Uva would be nice.

If SU isn't playing, it's about who I root against. Who do I want to lose more? Duke, Kentucky (on my short list) followed by Kansas and a few others. Of course, Pitt would be on the list somewhere as well (if they make it). I just don't take any joy in others winning when we aren't in the dance. I know it's sort of a sinister way of looking at it but that's just how I feel during tournament time when we're not playing.

Dayton (huge fan of Archie Miller)
Wichita State (no pressure of an undefeated season but still a very good team and well coached)

Uva hasn't won anything non-lax related in like ever, I believe. So I wouldn't care if they win. Their coach seems all right, and to my knowledge non of their players are 'bags.

What sucks is Georgetown can't continue its NCAA tournament record for losing to double digit seeds.

Death taxes and Georgetown gagging to a double digit seed. I hope they get a 7 seed to continue the streak.

I'm am pulling for William & Mary 1st, then UVA. I've lived in Virginia for 25 years with two kids who are or will be W&M alumni. W&M has a chance to make the NCAA tournament for the first time and is one of the few Div I schools never to be in the tournament. After 322 years, it's time.

I would like to see one of the teams we go up against like UVA, Villinova, or even some of our old foes like Providence ( I'm a Big East guy) make a run . Gonzaga would be nice seeing we might get to go up against them in the Bahamas next November. At the end of the day I only have an emotional attachment to one team and that team won't be playing this postseason so may the best team other than Kentucky win.

I'm with you, this may be the best team they've ever had. Still, they don't get enough games against top competition, so we'll see. Got my Gonzaga tee ready to go!
