Technical Question ... Help Please

Oh oh ... I am well over 40 (well maybe not well over) and I have an iTunes account (I love my tunes ... especially when on the boat or working in the yard ... can't hear my wife) ... but my iPod when pfffffft. Ergo the reason I got an iPhone.

Ummm...Yes, you are WELL OVER...

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I still listen to CD's and (hush) some tapes I have. Other than the new VH album I havent bought a new piece of music in 10+ years.

I don't really listen to CDs any more. I download MP3s from Amazon and use WinAmp on my puter or move them to by phone. Also, listen to the radio (local and satellite) a lot. My wife listens/watches CMT or GAC a lot.

I dont have any of that stuff. If I want to listen to music I pop in a CD or turn on the radio. I cant see paying for music I already own and I dont need ay more bad music seeing the music industry is complete right now.

I do listen to satellite in my wifes car but its mostly 80's music or something like that. Maybe I should pull out my Priest jacket I used to wear...that could be my MO.

Speaking of the new update, I updated to version 5.whatever and now half my apps disappeared. ANd when I go to the AppStore it doesn't show them as previously purchased, leading me to believe I would be re-billed. Did anyone else experience this?

FYI, after 3.5 hours in an Apple Store, 2 hours on the phone with Apple Care, and 3 days of back and forth e-mails with useless iTunes techs, I finally got my apps back.

Looks like there are two potential problems people need to be aware of:

1. The new update is apparently unclear about notifiying you when the upgrade/syncing process is over, leading people like me to prematurely end the process. And we know that anything premature ...

2. If you are/have been using an AOL account as your AppleId, you may run into a snag. The newest iTunes update no longer recognize aol screen names.

Caveat emptor.
