Here are the actual high temperatures in Syracuse for each day in 2019 compared to the average high, (based on stats that go back to 1901) and the difference that day, + or – as well as a running deficit or surfeit. Here is the website I used for these numbers:
The numbers are the date, the actual high, the historical average high, the net difference, the cumulative net since January 1st, the numbers of days we exceeded the historical average, the number of days we didn't reach it and the number of days we tied it.
November 2019
11/01 54-54 = 0 = +156 152-133-20
11/02 51-54 = -3 = +153 152-134-20

Comments: Brrrr…We’d built up a 19 day and +156 degree lead which all but disappeared in the first 20 days of November when we went -17-3 and lost 158 degrees, an average of almost 8 degrees below the normal average a day. We now head into December with the whole year on the line, (if you will), +3 in days and -2 in degrees. And from what we’ve seen of it so far, it seems unlikely we will stay on the positive side of the ledger. It seems to parallel the state of our football and basketball seasons.
