I was behind watching the game on DVR, got a couple of texts/emails & knew that something was stewing...

We needed this win so badly! Like most have said, just feels so different than last year's team when it comes to effort & work, so glad for the squad to get this one.

Kingz had one of the most dominate offensive halves we've seen, in the 2nd half he came out & said screw it, let me eat on defense! Honestly, he has no ego & it's appealing. Doesn't overreact in the good or bad, he hasn't shot the 3 ball like expected but that hasn't impacted his defensive effort & commitment in the slightest. I'd rock with this guy on any team.

I've said it before & I'll say it again - when our defensive causes turnovers & we get out in the open floor, we can run with ANYONE. When it bogs down, well, we needed what we got from JJ tonight. George & Kingz just don't have much lateral quickness when they are dribbling, JJ can get by guys. I've been hard on him as well, but the 3 & midrange combo was an absolute necessity for this win... and they came off of essentially nothing in the offense.

William Kyle is a highlight reel & is always battling in the trenches, that combined with White & Kingz on D makes them 3 of my favorite Syracuse players in a while. Much of the Syracuse brand is ugly/gritty this season (shooting is diabolical at times), but we're REALLY easy to like as a team!

Donnie is key to this team from an offensive standpoint in terms of being better on that end as is George playing better.

One thing that’s for certain is this team has been challenged as much as anyone in the country in terms of playing against elite defense. The ACC is improved but won’t feel anything like that after this last 4 game gauntlet. This is experience should help with getting better and execution against weaker teams.

Agreed with everything you stated. George has been terrible offensively. Almost as bad as Carlos. Everyone else has had at least had periods of good offensive play. Getting him going is a key moving forward.

I’ll say this with George, disappointing, yes. But with the defenses we have been playing it’s very hard for the PG to look good. Hopefully this upcoming stretch he regains confidence and when we start to play this level again he’s better.

If you watched Duke and are watching UNC right now. Tell me how much worse we are offensively against ranked solid teams cuz I don't think we look that far apart. This UNC big looks soft to me compared to what Kyle just did to the Tenn bigs.

I guess any top 25 game Cuse wins now they rush the court? Or how about any win, don’t gatekeep, right?
They rushed the court on a team that already had a loss, was ranked 13th and program that has never been to a final 4. Didn’t think this was warranted.

Who cares though. The kids that are in school right now, have they ever been to the NCAA tournament? They aren't like us. We have seen tons of great wins. They haven't. And they are kids. I didn't and won't give it a second thought.

I actually met one really rude Tennessee fan in Vegas. All of the other fans from other teams were great. She told me Kiyan was going to ruin our team and that he was throwing tantrums on the bench, and that daddy would pull him out of Syracuse and put him on a better team. yadda, yadda, when I told her she had no idea what she was talking about, and that Kiyan was not a brat, and was not going anywhere, she stormed away. I was thinking about her tonight. Karma is a Biaatch lady.

True but I'd say that's the lesser of two problems, We've seen alot of years of bad defense. Our defense looks legit. Can we learn to score? Guess we'll see
