Tennessee Postgame

Nah, don’t tell me how to feel. I loved the win just didn’t like the court storm.
I guess any top 25 game Cuse wins now they rush the court? Or how about any win, don’t gatekeep, right?
They rushed the court on a team that already had a loss, was ranked 13th and program that has never been to a final 4. Didn’t think this was warranted.
I was going to give you a laugh emoji for this, but then that would have given you a like. And you certainly didn't deserve that.

Lot of people in this thread need to lighten up.

I'd like to know why our shortest guy was the deep man.

I think he was just guarding the man he'd ben guarding (JJ on Ament), but with that height and reach difference, in retrospect, it may have been better to have someone else on him. lol

Even when he was guarding him on the wing a few times, the height difference was noticeably amusing.

Anyone who remembers the BC game last year at the Dome knows Autrys not particularly good at end of game situations.

The court storm had nothing to do with beating Tennessee and its program history. It has everything to do with Syracuse and how everyone is starved for the program to get back to earned national relevance. Beating a ranked opponent and getting a non conference Q1 win is a big deal in getting there. Hopefully we look back at this night down the road as the start of something special.

Agreed with everything you stated. George has been terrible offensively. Almost as bad as Carlos. Everyone else has had at least had periods of good offensive play. Getting him going is a key moving forward.
We need to put the ball in the hands of our guys who can create looks in the lane. That would be JJ and Kingz. Wish we cleared out more for Kingz in the second half after he was creating looks in the lane in the first. He should be the closest to a 40 minute guy of anyone on our roster besides Kyle. He may be our best shooter, best defender, and best at creating looks 1v1 with his speed/handle.

George is a more skilled/willing passer than both of them, but like Carlos, you have nothing if you can't draw attention from the defense. Both Kingz and JJ made some nice passes yesterday too. I am not giving up on George's shooting though. He could still space the court if we have another guard driving in the lane. Think he has a high ceiling as a shooter despite the rough day yesterday.

I never posted that. Way to edit my original post for your own purpose.

This hurts. I go to bed each night tracking my likes and dislikes.

Oh, FFS.

A. Let the kids have fun.
B. Those kids HAVEN'T been there.

Lighten up.
Yep. It's been 11 years since SU didn't have to sweat out Selection Sunday. In that time they have only made the tournament 4 times and haven't been even close the last 4 years. I think many on our board need to realize that "our history" as SU fans is not the current student's history.

Dennis Scott seemed to struggle with the rule book all night.
i found dennis scott extremely annoying all game. his constant "i give you a shooting clinic " got old fast. seemed to forget he was getting paid to call a game and not talk about himself. he flat out sucked. felt bad for his partner who had to carry his dead ass weight practically all game while he joked around.

I just rewatched the highlights and you just can’t overstate how clutch JJ was down the stretch. We were down one with under three minutes left and Red’s coaching career was flashing before his eyes. Starling then scored five points on consecutive beautiful jumpers (bro just do that at the free throw line) which won us the game.

It's a great question and it all gets down to every game on ESPN (all sports) is simply an ad to remind fans to watch the next NFL/MNF, NBA, College Football Playoff/SEC on ABC. That is where ESPN makes its money. It's bell cow. And all these other events exist to simply feed those signature events/games. And over the course of 15-20 years, people resent it.
But the ESPN personalities today like Sam Acho and College Gameday are AWESOME. Esp the WNBA crew.

I don’t think Kingz got a shot off in the second half, which is criminal.
this was a hallmark of late stage boeheim...have a guy go nuts in the first half then use him as a decoy the entire 2nd and go scoreless the rest of the game

it was IDIOCY not to get Kingz some shots in the 2nd half

cannot HATE that "strategy" more

great win but it honeslty shoudlve been a double digit victory with how badly tenn shot the ball.
