Tennessee

It's a lot more than football. You see that tripe on Gameday yesterday, people at Ole Miss talking about going back to campus to talk to ghosts? I mean it's a bit ridiculous.

For all the stuff some alumni get here, the only ghost we hear is when we are told our wings are ready.
"Ghosts". Well, it is Mississippi, where they have a historical affinity for white sheets.:(

Well, they will always have Faulkner.

in 2006 Tennessee averaged just under 106,000 fans, last year it dropped to under 90,000 fans.....that is a big drop in revenue and plus a bunch of SEC schools have cut back on student seats as less are going to the games and have focused on selling those tickets to young professional alumni with no donations required. These ARE premium seats that donors are starting to get pissed about like what we here talk about.

You guys know full well that you would love it if Syracuse had an SEC type culture. Stop hating on it because we can't replicate it. Not many can. Living in GA now I have a full appreciation for it. It's something that actually brings people together, what's wrong with that?

To tell the truth I prefer our basketball attitude.

I get the OP's inference but it is literally apples and oranges, and as someone mentioned, our benchmarks should be the Northwesterns, Wakes, UM's in their heyday, & Dukes of the last couple years, not a state behemoth like UT.
We need a Cutliffe-like or Barnett-like HC hire, someone who'll come and make us consistently competitive w/ a few major years thrown in now & then.
Is HCSS that man??? Too soon to tell, IMO.
