Will Shafer have the cajones to do what his buddy down 90 did and bench Hunt?

This weekend might be the earliest that both the Bills and Orange were eliminated from relevancy for the year... usually they make it until at least Columbus Day.

I don't know. They got Kimble and Drew Allen at the 11th hour. Then Long and Edouard. It's not like they weren't trying to upgrade the position.

Seems like programs all across the country, and especially the ACC, are flourishing with 5th yr grad qbs... Just can't catch a lucky break...

The problem is that we have no one behind Hunt. I realize it was a limited sample size tonight but holy cow, Austin Wilson was comically bad in the few snaps he got. I mean like, backup quarterback in Necessary Roughness, "Blow the whistle, blow the whistle!" bad.

Hunt was really bad for a lot of last season. I'm not sure he regressed. He might just have a low ceiling and played a little bit over his head a few times.

Agree with this. People forget he went 6 straight games without throwing a TD, and only topped 200 yards twice all year (and in four of the final final 9 games, he failed to even reach 100 passing yards). Over the final 9 games, his TD/INT ratio was 3 to 8, and that's including his two strong games against BC and Minnesota (zero TDs in that game by the way) to end the year. People should probably start accepting the fact that he's never been very good.

I've come to that conclusion. Hunt is a marginal QB with limited passing skills. Nothing more.

We better hope Edouard finally gets here and is the real deal. Otherwise, we're looking at several years of mediocrity, at best.
