Texas bowl to announce at 7:45

Recommendation request: What's the best sports bar in Syracuse area to watch the game?

Texas Bowl ‏@TexasBowl 42s
And we're back up and running, 45 minutes away from the "official" announcement!

To be clear, the Texas Bowl tweeted that the announcement would be made at 7:45 CST. So 8:45 EDT.

What a useless comment. These guys are trying way too hard.
Beaides being useless, that comment is also clueless. Despite having the worst season of all the bowl eligible schools in the ACC, they were able to get a bowl that, in my mind anyway, was more desirable than the Pinstripe, the Military, the Little Caesar's, the Heart of Texas and the Beef O'Brady. A big part of this was just blind luck. This year, ,it was better to not be part of the ACC bowls, the lower tier ones anyway. And several things broke our way to open slots on the Texas bowls. But Syracuse was selected over a number of PAC 10 bowl eligible schools, as well as Pitt. It is a good sign about the way SU footbsll is perceived. Let's hope we draw a decent crowd and continue to build on the fine turnouts in the Pinstripe, where we brought more fans and had better TV ratings than that school in New Jersey.

How does this bowl stack up versus the other bowls we were considered for as far as the payouts?

If you can get free...you guys know where the tailgate is...tell Alec he and his buddies are welcomed to stop by
Can't make it unfortunately - we'll be in Houston 20-25 December, then back to the grind. But we'll see the Broncos-Texans on the 22nd :)
