As a fan I really hope it works out. I would not have given him a five year contract unless the last two was a school option. Really hoping for the best because if he flops we can kiss off even having a chance for a new conference when realignment happens no matter how strong football will become under Fran.

While part of the Boeheim coaching tree, do you think he’s really a protege? I don’t think he follows a tired mold. Autry didn’t seem so much stuck in Boeheim’s systems as much as he lacked an effective system of his own. I’m cautiously optimistic about Gerry.

If this doesn’t work out in the next 3 years, JB will be 84 and we’ll be all out of realistic alum candidates.

Really hope it works out because it will not only impact Gerry’s coaching career and the university it will forever tarnish JBs legacy because of how he’s been with the program and coaches since retirement.
