or it would appear so from their inteviews and style that Scoop and Joseph are already and are going to continue to be solid leaders both on and off the floor. Love what they're saying in interviews, how they're approaching #1 and dealing with the scandal situation.

I'd have to think that they see the stress on JB and no matter the desire to avoid it effecting him, it has to be effecting JB in one way shape form or another. Bet they see that and will take it upon themselves to work harder then ever to "help" JB out by taking the reigns of this team even more so than usual to take some of the pressure off the coach and will be their way to help him out in the only way they really can. Really think we're gonna see a nice run from them going forward for a while. Hopefully my armchair psychologists view is spot on.

No matter what your opinion of them on the court, both Scoop and Kris have been fine ambassadors to the program off the court. Both appear to be fine young men with bright futures ahead of them - whether either ever plays a game in the NBA.

I love how Scoop has developed as a person over his time at SU. We all remember some of his issues early on but he got himslef straightened out and seems to have all the qualities of a man who will be successful in his undertakings after leaving SU. He's got to be one of the best player interviews in college bball. Wellspoken, inteligent, charismatic and seemingly always saying the right things. Well done Antonio!

no doubt, his arc of growth is frankly amazing both on and off the court. Talk about getting the most of your education and taking full advantage of the environments he's privileged to find himself in. He's the poster boy for the benefits of this experience. Good for him and I too have no doubts he'll do well beyond SU. Especially in dealing with the extreme situation now facing SU. Trial by fire!

I agree with this. Can you imagine if Doron Lamb and T Jones are your team spokespeople? Yikes.

Agree they have been awesome! Both defenetly looks more senior-ish then last year.

However, that is also what is to be expected from them. Great job by Triche also.

I will also add, for sophmores guys like Dion, Melo, Fair and Keita have really took it upon themselves and have played Huge and full of confidence for sophmores. Great job by JB and the coaches to get them the time last year to become Huge. And great job by them also. Our two freshmen AA's playing this year know they have the talent.

If I leave southerland out I will feel guilty so hes just got to keep chipping away to his stone looks good.

This team is loaded with confidence and for good reason. :D

He is working on his master's degree. I think he wanted to do it in Newhouse but needed to be there over the summer, which conflicted with his playing for the US team. Not sure if Newhouse worked it out. If not, maybe he stays on as the new Grad Asst. while he gets another master's degree at Newhouse. He has been writing for ESPN for a couple of years. He is really very good. Definitely a sports reporter of the future.
