You're right. Pretty sad that the most tradition this league has is a team that got the death penalty and Craig James.SMU has a tradition, albeit a rough one.

Does anyone have a list of all the new teams that will be joining the BE and when they're planning to join? I'm trying to figure out when Syracuse will likely be able to bolt.
Looks like everyone is coming in for 2013-14. Houston, SMU, UCF, and Memphis for all sports ... Boise and San Diego St for FB only. Navy joining for FB only in 2015-16.
SU will be in the ACC for 2013-14, although 27 months puts us at after 2014-15.
UConn, Rutgers, Cinci, Louisville, USF, UCF, SMU, Houston, Boise, San Diego, Memphis, Navy.
VS.
Boston College, Syracuse, Pitt, Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, North Carolina, Duke, NC State, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Miami.
Does anyone still wish we were staying in the Big East?
I'd like to join the ACC fully able to compete in football as well as the other tweo big programs we excel in.Doug is getting closer player wise but we have a ways to go o show it on the field. Whether its coaching or not I'm not sure of just yey I'll make up my mind at the end of this 2012 season, I hope. The real question is whether or not this means we can get out sooner.
They would still have Marquette and DePaul as mid west outliers with ND.-----------------
Continues to amaze me that ND wants to be part of this for all sports except football. When do ND administrators and fans decide this new Big East is not a good option for its athletic teams or its fans or the University.
Same with Catholic BB schools: why not just form their own compatable conference and let ND make a choice.
