Really was a good game last night and on Thursday. Sullinger is a tough guy for anybody. You did a great job when you were needed most. I have faith in you that your contributions will only increase as your career goes continues. I am looking forward watching your growth next year.

Exactly right. This was the way we knew he could play.

Needs to get stronger and needs to get with DC and develope some moves inside and he has a jumper so if he gets an offensive game with his quickness could be very good next year.

How come Baye was suddenly able to catch the ball after Fab was suspended the second time? All year he couldn't grab a single rebound, pass, loose ball, pretty much anything clean, and I don't remember more than a drop or two the whole tourney.

Did JB tell him to stop? Is that all it took? :)

I think Baye became more confident ... as people began to to show more confidence in him. He realized that people were counting on him... more than they were when Fab was getting 30 minutes a game.

Baye is a very sweet, shy, sensitive young man who is several thousand miles from his home and his culture. Were it not for the way that Nick Resavy has "adopted" him, I question whether he would have stuck it out at SU for these two seasons. I know I've said it several times before, but I credit a lot of Baye's increased comfort level and confidence to Nick.

Hopefully Baye will hit the weight room during the off-season and bulk up a bit so he can be stronger against guys like Sullinger.
And if he works on handling the ball better, he could be a force for us inside.
Have to admit that dunk he had last night was pretty impressive - don't recall seeing him go up strong like that at all in any previous games this year.

I was extremely happy and surprised at the way Baye played against Sullinger. That kid didn't back down one single time and played a great game for us. He was a man!, and 10 rebounds!!

Nick Resavy will be a grad assistant next year, correct? That'd be a great thing for Baye, for sure.

Love Baye, the way he hustles and gives it his all is aweseome. I just don't see him gaining much weight. I'm thinking that he just has an extremely high metabolism and it's hard to add weight when you just burn if off by walking around.

Yes, Nick will be a grad assistant next year. Nick will be a great coach some day (his career goal), and his presence next year will surely help Baye to continue to develop.
