Come on, allow the guy a gracious exit. He tried hard. The kids loved him, and he was here for 7 years. If there weren't so many injuries and personnel issues, we weren't that far off from where we were under Marrone.

Frost just did not have the type of faith in himself that made the Cuse job appealing to him. He wanted a place located with talent where it was relatively easy to find the players he wanted. His first love is Nebraska and he wants to be able to go from this stepping stone job off to Lincoln whenever that job was available. He has no HC experience which is what we were looking for. Can he truly judge talent; Eric Dungey was in his back yard and Oregon didn't speak with him. Scott Frost had a name that fit with CNY, however otherwise not a good fit.
Dino Babers, a much better fit for us!

The lack of buzz about Montgomery generally in this hiring cycle makes me think that either he has a big buyout at Tulsa or he's made it clear that he's waiting for a bigger TX/SEC job.
