Thanks

Dear Board,

I’ve followed the board for the past three years as Adam’s journey progressed through several different stages. It has been a great ride and allowed me the opportunity to visit several parts of the country and meet some tremendous people. I attended every game the past two years with the exception of this year’s Pittsburgh game. A little over two years ago, after a spring practice I overheard a man call out to my son “Hey Natural” and immediately knew the man because of his posts. I stated your “Orange Eyes” and he eventually smiled and extended a hand saying yes. Thank you Orange Eyes for your dedication, loyalty and classiness to and for the board, you are truly a special man who bleeds orange. That day I was introduced to several other wonderful orange fans and board members including Sutomcat. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting several others at practices, games (home and away) and at tailgates. I’m sure this goes both ways, but some never knew who I was and in some cases I never knew who you were. I even introduced myself to Calicuse at USC this year! I have been blessed with several new friendships of players, parents, coaches, and board parents. My son and I have a very close relationship, there is very little we don’t share. Out of respect to my son, his teammates, our coaches and the board, I never participated on the board but did enjoy reading it even when our opinions differed greatly (LOL) or when I knew the difference between the facts and fiction being tossed around. I thank all of you for your support not just of Adam but for our team. I’m humbled that my son truly lived and achieved his dream and I couldn’t be more proud of him. He never forgot who he was or where he came from and proudly played for the Orange always putting the team first. Hopefully his story, work ethic, and desire will/has been an inspiration to students and athletes of all ages and levels. Adam will be at Newhouse for grad school next fall and will be doing a GA with the Whitman School of Business. Although Adams football career is over, he will continue to represent the Orange by throwing shot and discus for the track & field team. I look forward to following the Orange football team and reading the board although this will likely be my only post. Hopefully several of our paths will cross again at future games. Although we aren’t going Bowling this year, we still have much to be thankful for. Thanks again for your support and best wishes ,

Merry Christmas to all and keep on posting.

Sincerely,

Leo Harris

Mr Harris,

You should be very proud Adam is a great athlete but an even better person. I can only hope my son turns out to be a great a person.

If Adam has some, or all, of his dad's characteristics, he's without a doubt a class act.

Very nice post.

Congrats on your exceptional parenting. Thank you for bringing such a fine young man to our school. Go Adam! Go Orange!
