That Head Banging Music During The Scrimmage!!!

The scrimmage was so much better with music. I loved the fact when the song "I Feel Good" came on they turned up the volume and it signaled the end of practice. Some of the players were even dancing.

I think that was the only song I recognized other than Santana/Rob Thomas! :D

What kind of music was played during the scrimmage? I've seen this mentioned a few places. Santana/Rob Thomas?... Huh? I was expecting some censored Future or something.

Is this really a post? I'm not really into much of the newer processed pop music but I have to admit it was kind of cool having it playing over the game. Wasn't loud at all but I have awful hearing so take that with a grain of salt. I have a feeling the music is there to keep the players on a certain tempo.

There's a significant amount of data that shows multiple positive influences arising from background music during practices.

Belichik has employed this practice for a minimum of 6 or 7 years. His personal favorite is Bon Jovi.

If that's what they do everyday, they'll continue to do it whenever possible. If it leads to better performance, I don't care what you pipe through the sound system.

We've started to do it as well. Takes some getting used to, but, I love it. Don't think it would be nearly as feasible unless you use a hand signal or non verbal play calling mechanism.

You don't play games in silence. Practice like you play.

And it wasn't that loud.

It wasn't head banging music at all...there was no Pantera, Metallica, Pig Destroyer, Motorhead, etc.

Closest thing was Santana...which can't even be confused as "head banging" on it's worst day. It was mostly rap and hip hop music about 98% which on it's worst day is also so far from "head banging" that it's ridiculous.

I am not a rap guy but I enjoyed it because it wasn't pin drop silence like it usually is. Thought it was a great change.

Pig destroyer? I need to google this! Little disappointed megadeath wasn't mentioned.

Excuse me sir, it's MegaDETH. :)

I'm a metal guy, and I don't know pig destroyer. Must be that Cookie Monster vocal crap!

We can top that name...
Anal C**t. Look it up.

Was that you who told me to sit down yesterday...
Why would you ask me that? I'm not here to attack anyone personally. Just making a comment about the music.

And "no" I told no one to sit down.

Scrimmages are good with music. That was not music. ;)
