Thing is, his 6'10" wing span means that he can get the ball close to the rim from a lot of different angles on the spin.

He's so sneaky smooth.

At this point, we know he's dying on this hill.

Buddy is going to play way more minutes than he should. Buddy is going to lead the team in FGAs. Buddy will be the most inefficient player and after each game, JB will defend him like it's Kobe having an off night or not getting calls.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

The issue is, to me, is that it gives cover for players to 1) go off system (see AG auditioning) and 2) greases the skids for anyone that wants to transfer or test the portal.

I just assume Buddy will shoot the most on our team. I assume we will be mediocre and a bubble team. I assume JB will give air coverage to Buddy no matter what happens.

Jerami Grant excels with that move now but I don't remember him going to the hoop that strong during his days here. Although I do have to admit when I watch some of those old games, Grant's ability really stands out that was never maximized. One more year here and he would have been a lottery pick.
