So I just listened to the presser. I mean other than all the love for Jesse (sarcasm font), 2 things caught my ear.

1. JB says Buddy is getting fouled on the backdown shots and they're just not calling them.
2. "Buddy got going tonight and was the difference in the game"

I know I've become that guy, but come on...

Not a lot of guys get fouled on a stepback shot.

Thing is, his 6'10" wing span means that he can get the ball close to the rim from a lot of different angles on the spin.

He's so sneaky smooth.

Yes! He always seem squared and accurate once he's near/at the rim. No wild out of control type layups or shots.

I know I've become that guy, but come on...

I can’t with him anymore. Buddy’s scoring was very important but Kadary, Alan, Marek and Quincy’s play were all just as key to the win. I mean, it’s just so clear that JB, despite his brilliant basketball mind, is a father blinded by love and loyalty towards his son, and that’s frankly the only reason Buddy is averaging nearly 40mpg (more than Carmelo did!). While I can’t begrudge Boeheim having this blind spot for his son, as a fan it can be infuriating because he can’t see what’s plain to the rest of us. If we were winning at our historic clip, this would be less of a big deal. But the middle of the pack regular seasons and the refusal to recruit other SGs really just amps up everyone’s irritation.
