That's a great court storming..

... and Nebraska fans had legit reason to storm it.

Picked to finish last in Big 10. And tonight they clinched 4th. And they beat a potential 1 seed in NCAA
Imagine what it would be like if they won the conference.

I have zero problem with that court storming. Kudos to the Huskers

I was listening to sports radio today and the host was continuing the anti-court storming propaganda. At one point he said that if fans on the court were outlawed, by the end of the first season we'd have forgotten about it, it wouldn't be a big deal, and nobody would care.

There's some legitimate arguments for not allowing court storming - but to think it wouldn't be a big deal is insane. Plus it continues the trend of making college sports more and more like their professional counterparts...then wondering why fans treat the players like they are professionals. It's possibly because EVERYTHING in college sports screams that it is big business (with the exception of them clinging to the concept of the student-athlete).

Didn't the fans storm the court in the Bill Russell era Celtics titles?

College exuberance is fine.
Witness Cameron's crew, for example.
But court storming?
Few talk about people who have been injured - seriously - because of it.

If you've never been swept up in a crowd without any control over your body...it's easy to think it's all just fun and cool. If you have, you know how terrifying it can be. (Coincidentally, Phil Mushnick wrote about this in today's NY Post. I'd link it but he also has an off-the-track comment about Boeheim's one-man court storming against Duke).

I don't think it's being a killjoy to say...c'mon...getting rid of this is really a big deal?
No reason for it...unless maybe your team just won the National Championship.

Court storming is stupid and should be banned. I've yet to hear a single justification for them that makes any sense with regards to the actual way the world works.

If it weren't call "court storming" but instead "masses of emotionally charged people rushing into a relatively small restricted area without regard for human life to celebrate an accomplishment they had little or nothing to do with" , I think people would have a different outlook on them.

Miles has paid his dues and has turned around programs everywhere he has been, not easy to do. He has coaches in areas that aren't exactly hoop hotbeds as well. Good for him.

I heard him on some sports radio show last fall and thought to myself that the guy sounds like a really cool dude

I prefer to think of it as "College students celebrating their school's (unexpected) victory over a higher regarded team, or other major accomplishment".

I've only participated in a couple of such celebrations. The most memorable of which occurred on Dec 11, 1982, when unranked Syracuse beat the 9th ranked Houston Cougars, led by Phi Dlams Jama.

Keep it, I say. It'd be good if arena security protected the away team during the handshake process and escorted them to their locker room, however.

Amazing. Don't know what is more amazing, the Huskies finishing 4th in the B1G or Wisconsin getting pimped for a 1 seed. Carleton knows better...

Above is a slice of his postgame PC

I didn't see his pregame, is it out there?

Was it anything thing like his Indiana speech last Wednesday:

"Guys, it’s our time. We are going to reap what we have sown. We have already done the Andy Dufresne of “Shawshank Redemption.” We’ve crawled through our river. Those days are behind us. That’s not who we are anymore. We are out on the other side so let’s just enjoy this. We are stronger together.’"

Here's a feature on Miles from 2013

Don't you think you're overreacting just a tad?

If court-storming is outlawed, only outlaws will storm the courts.

So clue me in - what game is that from?
SU-G Town Feb 2007 the night Jay Bilas said with this win Syracuse is in the NCAA's

Too bad he wasn't right.

DNic was on fire from three in that game.

Boeheim also called out Gottlieb in the post game interview.
