They let a slow footed unathletic QB run fir 75 yards between the tackles on 3rd and 2. That was something.
Their defense continues to play as though their goal is to imitate the Washington Generals. ‘Make (insert opponent’s name) look good; whatever it takes’.

They have to hire someone with UConn ties….who else would take the job?
They should look at Villanova OC or roll the dice and hire a NJ HS coach (Bergen Catholic?) - this way they still have a chance at the lower level D1 Jersey kids

They had a Nova DC in 2018. Did not go well.

Let’s see who the new UConn head coach will face in his debut:

Go to the Boneyard. you would think Alabama was looking for a coach. let's get an up and coming coach. No one would take the job, guys. It is a dead end job. Who knows what will happen to your future schedule with the alliance.

I feel bad for Chauncey Scissum. He gets hired in June as UConn’s assistant s&c coach and then only 2+ months later he finds out he’s likely done at the end of November. But that’s football for you.

The immediate eligibility transfer option is going to make building a program from scratch so much harder.

Any decent player UConn has on their roster who has other options is going to take one of them.

The demise of the BE, awful HC hires, a small and very unloyal fan base, COVID, the decision to prioritize basketball over football, the rule changes to make transferring easy, and now the possibility that the alliance will freeze UConn out of playing any P5 program ever again...

it is the perfect storm.

In retrospect, they made the right decision to try and rescue the dying basketball program and let football go.
