If I am the new AD, here are the 3 things I'm looking for from HCSS
1) wins - should be 6 or more. 5 could suffice if the things below are better than expected
2) offensive points - should be a middle of the road scoring team or better
3) special teams - be as good as the opposition
Given all these, I believe HCSS should be extended. Without these, as much as I like him and his approach, I think we have to start over.
One exception might be if we do everything well except offense, then HCSS could get another year or 2 with a new, proven OC. This decision would be difficult, given 2 bad OC choices by HCSS, but worth it in the name of stability IMO.
