The 7 types of football programs

If you go by the "quotes" under each choice we are undoubtedly 3. No question

3

Although I wouldn't call our success in the 90's and early '00's ancient.

none of the above.

maybe a 7 (not a state and recruiting is now so so), but maybe a 6.

those of you saying 3 or 4 need to be lined up and shot. expecially the 4s...:bang:

without Mac and P, you 3s would be correct, but not now.

I would gladly settle for a 6 in the short term. But long-term I still want to compete for another National championship (preferably doing it the right way).

In a twist on the word association test here's the first schools I thought of when reading these

#1 Alabama
#2 Michigan St.
#3 Notre Dame
#4 Duke
#5 Vanderbilt
#6 Stanford
#7 Clemson

Pretty much spot on. I thought Rutgers for #7, but on a bit smaller of a scale.

Definitely a 6 but with the above as a desired (however ridiculously impossible) goal. Meh!

You are too funny.

#4 in the eyes of the schools in our new conference, our students, the surrounding community, and the national media. Who else?

I'd give a chunk of my liver to be a #7 (which we never were) just to have the place rocking again.

6 no doubt.

Under coach P we were totally a 6, but now we are firmly a 4, the commitment to making football even mediocre is not a top priority of the AD office. During the DC sports night, the asst AD, basically said 'well the football team is trying hard' like they were the little engine that could. If football was truly a priority, they would have focused on the NEED to improve the product on the field and say: we aren't happy with 11 months w/o a victory over a D1 team!!
