Florida State and Louisville both massively underperform.

Clemson loses to Syracuse.

Division leader NC State gets beat up by Notre Lame.

Miami a top 10 team that barely wins each week.

Not the year we expected out of the conference. Its like high-performance mediocrity bizarrely enough.

The top is lower and the bottom is higher.

But the top being lower is the issue.
You've lost your mind. Questioning whether or not you watch college football at all much less the ACC and anything outside of the ACC.

Wow.

Clearly you know that the ACC is the only conference with 4 teams in the top 15.

Feels like when people would complain about the SEC. Some argue everyone beating each other shows how strong it is. Others argue it shows how weak they are.

The ACC Atlantic is the best division in college football. There isn't a bad team, and you can't say that about any other division anywhere

Well of course with FSU and Clemson without a qb. FSU gaa mailed it in after Franciois went down. Eat your wheaties fellas, we wont see a BC offense put up 30+ on an FSU defense for years to come. Thats effort, lack of.

I honestly don't even care if an ACC team makes the playoff. Especially last year when people wanted an ACC team to represent the conference... Do you think when a team see's an ACC team in the playoff they think oh that makes Syracuse at 3-9 look ok?

Mind you it's a different year this year but just sayin. I am a Syracuse fan and if beating Clemson makes the ACC seem bad than I'll take it.

Clemson looks pretty good tonight. And we beat them.
Would you mind saying that again?! Was at my alma maters game today in Massachusetts and it was still a prime topic of conversation.

That said great win but unless we take two of the next four it gets dramatically minimized and more an aberration vs. a trend.

How did your mater do?

Here's the good news they've won a couple games this year which is already an improvement over the recent past and they were competetive with one of the better teams in the conference, but was a L 24-6

It might be temporary. It might be injuries, but one thing the ACC is this year is balanced. Any team can beat any team...somehow Miami has avoided that L so far.

NC State...as much as they're difficult to like, would have scored some points for the conference if they had beaten ND. Even though ND is a stepchild member.

On the other hand, teams that were supposed to be real bad are actually pretty good, BC Wake SU

You should care, and should care a lot.

The ACC made an additional $88.5 million last year because Clemson was in the playoff. And SU benefitted from to the tune of 3-4 million dollars for sitting home if I remember correctly.

College Football Playoff Payouts By Conference For 2016-17

So yeah it matters A LOT. You should be rooting for every member of the conference to make it.

Actually, the ACC made an additional $6 million because Clemson made the CFP. The $55 million base payout and the $27.5 million for the contracted Orange Bowl was being paid regardless of whether or not Clemson made the CFP.

However, the ACC repping in the CFP and winning Orange Bowls only helps solidified its place as a conference that belongs with the SEC and B1G instead of the 5th wheel afterthought it was when the CFP was in its planning stages.

Cheers,
Neil

NC State looking like trash yesterday was a hit to the conference this year as they are playing the FSU role this year.

Miami may be lucky to be undefeated but they're also a year early and are well on their way back to being preseason Top 10 year in/year out.

Root for Clemson to win out so we have a CFP rep and next year we'll have a Top 5 Clemson, Top 10 FSU, Top 10 Miami and Top 15 VT entering the season, along with whoever else decides to join them in the Top 25 as the season rolls along.

Maybe one bad team in the ACC this year. Even they have talent.

There’s really only one great team in college football this year. I don’t think anyone is beating Alabama.

It's funny, Bama fans are worried because they don't ever get tested as their OOC was destroyed by FSU not deciding to play football this year and their division being one of the worst in P5.
