I've mentioned many times I live in Kansas and have seen a decent amount of Kansas football. They don't blow out many FCS teams if they can even beat them in the first place. To not be able to hang with Kansas is truly a monumental achievement.

I still remember some moron named JerseyJohnny who inboxed me the morning of the 2009 game with the title “good morning, dickhead!” and proceeded to talk all kinds of crap about how bad Rutgers would beat Cuse that day.

Now they’re in the classic Rutgers conundrum. Everyone in the world knows their coach sucks, but Rutgers is cheap. So they either stick it out and have him try to recruit coming off 1-11/2-10(0-8), which he can’t recruit now, so you’re looking at Sun Belt level recruits playing in the B1G East.

Or you pony up the money for the buyout and then you have to go super cheap with the next head coach.

Either way, as always, Rutgers is screwed.
