The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

I know it has been said before, but that Maryland game should've been our springboard to a new and more permanent level of improved performance. Instead it was a gut punch to oblivion. And once again we were launched into the wilderness.
We had Coleman and Alton Robinson on the Dline and got absolutely shredded. UMd must've averaged like 10 yards a play. So ill prepared.
And our Oline was non-existent. Every pass play was a jail break. After the game Maryland fans were chanting, "Overrated, overrated."
Yes it's only sports and these things can happen, but holy sheet what letdown. Can't really trace its origins.
In any event, praise HCFB and pass the ammunition.
I've said it before, but that game had a significant negative effect on my life in fall 2019 and it took me a while to get back into sports after that. Now it's hilarious in retrospect, but then it was not.

2 B1G teams in the "bottom four" and 4 in the "bottom ten". I know that the ACC is comparable, but we are not trying to say that our conference SOS justifies more guaranteed playoff spots.
But 2 of ours were the schools we bought in from the Pac 10. And the other 2 schools prove why Virginia is irrelevant for being in the SEC or Big. They don't bring in enough money to any networks.

To add to their misery, Rutgers Scarlet Knights Poll History | College Football at Sports-Reference.com

Before 2012 (8 weeks), they were last ranked 2009 (1 week). Before 2009, they were ranked in 2006 (12 weeks) and 2007 (7 weeks). Prior to that 1976 (4 weeks) . Prior to that 1958 (5 weeks). A total of 33 weeks in a 150+ year history.

In only six years out of 150 years was Rutgers ranked.
And because they won the geography lottery they actually think they're a Big 10 school.

But what a glorious 6 years those were. Remember that epic Louisville game!

Hard to believe the greatest game in football history is 19 years old.

I always laugh at that “accomplishment”. Since they beat a top 10 loserville team, we beat top 10 loserville teams twice! Once as a 35 point dog!

And we don’t even ever talk about those games, because, well, your supposed to beat Louisville.
