The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

As always for matchups like this - I will be rooting for the meteor strike.

But, failing that, I am torn:
I never, ever, ever root for State Penn.
But - Rutty getting shut out of a bowl by a lame-duck Nitwit kitty team would be delicious.
I can picture them diving at knees during the victory formation already.

Other side of the coin:

SUNJ wins, they sneak into bowl eligibility with another 6-6 record, and likely Shady stays there for another decade.

... which benefits US, because Fran will clean up in NJ crootin.

So, in order of preference:
1 - meteor strike

2 - Rutty sneaks out an ugly W.

3 - Rutty loses in some excruciating manner.

This is easy, root for Penn State. Rutty failing to make a bowl game is way more impactful then PSU losing.

Option #1, please.

I'm going to go off the board and wish upon both teams and their staffs explosive diarrhea.

Rutgers Information Director response:

"No, you don't understand. They are still tailgating and will be inside shortly. You just took the photo early to create a scoop or storyline to spite Rutgers.". And then more whiny drivel and mutterings supposedly in support of Rutgers and the media conspiracy to destroy them.

Spit Take Lol GIF by Justin

Don’t go full Rutgers.
You never go full Rutgers.
Rumor has it that:

- New Jersey convicts are given the choice of prison or go full Rutgers, to date, every convict has chosen prison.
- John Thompson was given the choice of coaching Georgetown or going full Rutgers. He chose the lesser of two evils.
- Custer was given the choice of facing all the norther plains Indians or going full Rutgers, he chose the mercy of a defeat in battle.

More and more sports teams are calling a game a sellout just because all the primary market tickets are sold, not because every seat has a fanny in it.
SU certainly is following that trend. Not sure why we're laughing at Rutgers over this.

I don't think there's a team in sports that doesn't announce total tickets sold.

That being said, I know quite a few RU fans that have STs and sell a lot of the tickets as they can only attend 5 or so games per year. They were a "hot ticket" the last few years despite the record.
