Not so fast. It turns out the crop of NJ seniors was underwhelming this year. Only 2 were RU worthy and the girls signed both.
I can't name the unimpeachable source of this info, but the initials are RA.

This guy is from the Rochester metro area. I would guess he would love to come here. Not sure he is good enough.

The guys to watch from the RU roster that SU would have interest in are KJ Duff and Ian Strong. Two big physical WRs who are tough to cover.

He was one that I didn't think we really had a chance with. If I recall he committed pretty early to Rutgers when they were really hammering St Anthony's and getting a good run of kids out of there. They were also taking fliers on some St A kids to keep the pipeline flowing.

Only other serious consideration he had was UNC for a hot minute (if memory holds)

I don't think he would portal now anyways. He will be a draft pick.

Apparently Rutgers was one of seven 5-7 teams who turned down the Birmingham Bowl before App State agreed to play. They probably did the math and figured out it would put their trainwreck of a program into more debt. Or, Shady wants the money to go to a new helicopter

I got your point but if Shady was O.K. would he be at Rutgers on the first place?

To your point, Shady has complained about resources. Obviously a new helicopter will change recruiting, just like it did before. Everyone knows that helicopters make a difference in on-field performance by players and coaches. Just look at Rutgers list of impressive wins and big bowl victories and how the B1G have copied Shady's recruitment approach. [Looks at records, observes no impressive wins, no big bowl appearances, and no B1G copycats, hears crickets chirping, slinks away before anyone notices...].
