New this morning --

A few highlights:

I hadn't seen this before -- When FB first called ADJW and left a voicemail message, per Wildhack: "What he didn't know was he was actually my next call." Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles had called JW, to "paint a picture of the Brown he knew". Also, FB was the only position coach client of superagent Jimmy Sexton.

FB doesn't do performative things. "We practice for championships, not for media. I don't really do nothing for media looks."

After Kyle McCord threw his many INTs in the Pitt game last year, FB found him and and told him: "I love you. Keep your head up. We'll be back."

"He's like a cool uncle, a father, a friend and a coach all in one person" Dan Villari said. "He uses them all at the right times."

Per FB: "This whole last year, I hear people say like, Fran is direct. Fran is a little bit different, right? He gonna be himself. You don't get the normal responses to things. To be honest? Your gonna get whatever I feel."

I just read the article. Fantastic insight into Fran and why he is such an incredible recruiter.
And why and how he is building an enduring culture at Syracuse that we can all be proud of.

Loved how he took responsibility for those 2 close losses last year and how he said he has to do better at listening to what others have to say about improving his coaching.

Loved how he sought to comfort McCord in an incredibly low moment for both of them.

So proud to have this guy as our head coach.

His frankness is so refreshing, and will continue to raise our programs national recognition.
Having such a big positive article in The Athletic can only help.

I could never be a coach, my frustration with a performance like that would boil over very quickly lol

Its hard enough to coach youth kids with low expectations. Coaching HS/College even harder these days.
