Recruiting Revisited: How the class of 2016 ranks four years...

The Athletic's Max Olson revisited 2016's recruiting classes based on actual performance. The scale he uses is as follows:
5 points: All-American, award winner, top-50 NFL draft pick
4: Multiyear starter, all-conference honors
3: One-year starter or key reserve
2: Career backup
0: Left the program, minor or no contribution

Syracuse got an honorable mention at #31, averaging a 2.53 score. Clemson was #1, no surprise. The only other ACC team mentioned was Virginia at #35.

Amazed at that ranking. Obviously way above our recruiting rank. I wonder what the relative differentials are for actual composite 2016 rankings and this ranking. We have to be +25. That is a credit to coaching up players. And to finding unheralded player who can perform.

2018 will be an interesting class to see how it ranks out.
Bunch of kids left and a bunch of kids have overachieved already.
