The Big Game

That's garbage. We have the Melo Center thanks to Carmelo and Nike. We're not so worried about how other schools compete against our hoops if they have less resources. Yeah, Oregon has resources, but you know what's right about the Ducks? They took those resources and innovated. They got an infusion of cash and used it to make a difference. It's a perfect blend. A lot of schools don't have the resources, so they need to focus on innovation to get ahead. Oregon should be an example. Their resources accelerated their innovation, but they operate in a smarter way. People are jealous of their resources, but they miss the big picture. I'm jealous that they come up with new and better ways to do things. Instead, we're like, hey, can we put another tight end on the field?

This.

Believe me I would love to run oregons offense and have their innovations, but my point is still that many SEC teams get bashed for prominent boosters meanwhile Oregon does the same and is glorified. Also, if I'm not mistaken Oregon was put under probation for recruiting violations, so it's not like their above the dirty tactics when it comes to recruiting.

Oregon.

I can't stand OSU and they already stole one title from Miami and should not have been in this top four.

I would say if you have resources and innovate it does spare you some jealousy over the resources.

Gotta root for my local Bucks. They are a distant second to the Orange in my fandom but second none the less.

Rooting for the Saturday game to move it's title game to Saturday.

And Oregon, tOSU fanbase is putrid.

Cheering for the "Quack Attack"

Not a fan of Urban nor other former Gator coach Steve Spurrier

For the very simple reason that Rutgers could potentially say they are in the same division as the national champs, I will heavily root for Oregon. I hate both teams, but this is an easy choice for me.

Yeah but, even if OSU doesn't win, Rutgers fan can still claim that they were a couple of bad calls and unlucky bounces (and 40 points) away from beating the NC runner up.

i cant route for oregon, no great love for osu but oregon is more what is wrong with college football than osu is.
I think OSU (along with Florida and Texas) is the epitome of corporate, big-money, collegiate athletics. They are indeed Goliath, and I just can't root for them.

ohio st.

the west coast.

its admitingly hard when you hate everyone though...

I think oregon is far worse.

Oregon was built into a power by Nike. I remember when they were a complete nonfactor. They get all the shiniest facilities and toys and best coaches money can buy, and suddenly turn into a super power. It's not fair. Screw them, and their ugly uniforms too. I blame them for the crappy Syracuse uniforms we now have to deal with, and this attitude that it's fine to let clueless college kids who shop for their own clothes at Champs, to pick these gaudy looking things at their whim.

As for the Buckeyes, I hate their basketball program much more than their football program. Go Buckeyes!

Huh? It's been this way, playoff or not for a long, long time.

What we need is a way to level the playing field; but the behemoths hold all the power too. So it will never happen.

Lower the scholarship limit. More top players would go to more schools that way. There would also be more money for other sports.

The NFL roster limit for 16 games is 53 guys. The average number of players used in a college football game is 55. But the scholarship limit is 85. What's up with that?

You could also return to one platoon football but that's not likely to happen.

So, who's everyone rooting for on Monday night?

I really want Oregon - if only to avoid hearing for an entire year how strong the Big 10 is.

Ohio State: 5 national championships (1942, 1954, 1957-shared with Auburn- 1968 and 2002)

Oregon: 0 national championships (although they beat the Buckeyes for the first ever NCAA basketball title)

So, Go Ducks!

I'm hoping it will be 46-33.

Oregon.

Besides hating OSU, I'm a Bucs fan. I DO NOT want them to draft Winston. Not because he isn't good, cuz he is. But why draft the drama and baggage with him. I need Mariota to convince everyone that he's our guy:)

Go Ducks

Mariotta screams bust (so does Winston)

I don't think I even disagree with you, I just don't want the one who's already a problem child.

I think Winston will end up being the better Pro--if he keeps his head on straight. Winston reminds me alot of Roethislburger
