Why does it seem people have a problem with our 2-3 zone?? Everywhere you look someone says the zone is dumb, play a m2m...I don't understand why people have a problem with it...IT WORKS!!!!
Maybe they need a good zone offense to beat our zone defense...

The 2-3 zone over the last several years has been awesome. This team has great chemistry and length in this year's version. When it's clicking, it creates havoc for whoever we're playing.
Conceptually, there are many ways to beat it, but in reality, it's hard to play against it when the shortest player is a stout Brandon Triche at 6'4". Add a long MCW at 6'6" next to him up top and your dribble-drive all of a sudden isn't as effective.
They can call it BOZO as long as the other team looks like the bozo playing against it.

Seams like the rage in CBB has been guard quickness over size ... the zone can negate some of the quickness and exposes shorter guards (Silva is notoriously bad against the zone...) ... Especially when your top two are huge and rangy. It's been a mismatch all tourney. I don't think there are guards remaining that have our height, right?

There is no such thing as just man to man. All man to man now incorporates help defense and slides to cover uncovered areas. JB has just taken away the ability for the offense to get mismatches through screens. Brilliant.
