The Burning of the Shoes

[Traced back to as early as the 1940's, this tradition represents a fresh start for all the seniors who are playing in their last game. They "place" all their bad memories and moments in the shoe before tossing it into the fire. They then pass through a line of their teammates, who express their thanks for the seniors' dedication and effort throughout their careers]
