It seems that this will not happen now, but I listed some catholic schools that perhaps the pope could dictate to form their own bball league (avoiding far west schools). I think they are all catholic. Did I leave any out?

St. Johns
Georgetown
Villanova
Providence
Seton Hall
*Marquette
*DePaul
*Notre Dame
Xavier
Dayton
St. Josephs

and maybe someone upgrading from

Duquesne
*St. Louis
St. Bona
Sienna
Canisius
Niagara
Fairfield
Detroit
LaSalle
Fordham

*a bit further west than the rest

That is pretty good but I like Cherie's Big Cat League better.

Wouldn't be surprised for some of the traditional BE bball schools to stick together in favor of a smaller league, more stable, more trust, maybe better rivalries.

Georgetown
villanova
st johns
Marquette
seton hall
providence
St joes
Xavier

Small, catholic basketball league. Not the BE, but better than A-10

Yes, I think you need to include DePaul as well, which was probably just an oversight on your behalf, but I definitely think for basketball there is room a conference like this. As long as the NCAA reminds in its current form, or something like it, there will always be room for one or two of these teams at the minimum.

Yes I forgot about Dep. Possibly a 10 team league? Heck, it would be better than the PAC-12

I don't think Villanova will want to share Philly. Dayton is more likely.

And ND?
