The Cisco kid, he was a friend of mine

and he was also a 3 star recruit. A 3 star recruit who made first team All ACC. These coaches know talent.

You use the word "was". Does it mean after he gets famous, he no longer knows you?

The Kid has a knack for making plays. Hes a difference maker. He definitely has walked the walk. As a freshman, it's very impressive. If he continues, this kid is gonna be out of this world.

the best thing is that we didnt play most of the kids that were rated higher.. now we have to wait and see if he was the diamond in the rough or we have several in the pipeline

if they can keep finding 3 stars that can play like this we can build a solid D.

He's so close to 3 of those picks being TDs. WMU, first game, overexcited, turf monster got him. Louisville game he got to the 2 yard line. BC game, if he kept his feet on that jump in front pick, he's got nothing but green in front of him.

Secondary has some real playmakers on the way up. Hope we can keep recruiting depth, we usually lose one or two during the year.

Plus Melifonwu, crazy class of DB talent, think about it and Melifonwu might end up having the best measurables and physical talent:)
Coley would be starting on most other p5’s too imo

Cisco was a liability during the third quarter of the Western Michigan game. After that, he improved and was no longer a liability. Big time props to him.

I dont know how to evaluate how a HS safety will play in college.. Most of these kids play on pretty good teams that often skew what the other teams can really run against them. If the corners are locking guys down then most of the play is stopping the run or cleaning up simple pass plays. it explains so of the early issues too as he saw plays at speed in a real game for the first time and his angles were off. his cover skills go better as the year went on too.

most of it is the measurables more than the skills leading to the star rankings.

Has looked 100 percent comfortable out there from Day one.

He kind of got off to a rough start vs WMU, but from there on you can tell he is a very cerebral player, because he has not been out of position very many times since.

He hangs around the perimeter when the gang tackles happen, but it's hard to pick apart his game too much.

Kinda nice knowing he's locked down his position for the next 2-3 years.

Hope it doesn’t make it difficult to recruit safeties the next few years!

This kid has NFL written all over him. Can't teach ball hawking. That's instinctive.
