Here's what I think is the most important matchup in tomorrow's game: Dayton's transition offense vs. Syracuse's offensive rebounding.
Dayton's M.O. is that they like to get out and run off of missed shots (and even off made shots). Syracuse is a very good offensive rebounding team (8th nationally in offensive rebound %), and frankly, a lot of our offense relies on second chance points.
So the question is - will Dayton look to leak out on shot attempts by us or will the guards be helping to crash the defensive glass? Conversely - will Syracuse crash the offensive glass hard or will we be focused on getting back on defense and not giving up easy transition buckets?
It should be an interesting dynamic to keep an eye on within the game.
