- I’ll say it again: we are not a great offensive team. We are not a bad offensive team. But we aren’t dominant on that end. We’ve got two real shooters in Fair, (medium range) and Cooney (long range), a couple of other guys who can score some in Ennis and Grant. With Grant in the starting line-up, (when the official scorer doesn’t screw up), our two guys off the bench who aren’t freshmen are Keita and Gbinije, who give us nothing. Fair and Grant were 4 for 16 when we were down 8. Cooney was most of our offense at that point. Ennis made a couple of scores and Grant started to dominate and we pulled it out. But this team isn’t exactly loaded with firepower and JB’s commentary, both at halftime and on the post- game, was all about how bad our offense was. When we lose it will be because somebody shut down our offense, not because they shredded our defense.

- But we weren’t great of defense tonight, at least not until things got desperate. We did a lot of chasing. Those three pointers came when we were bunched on one side of the court and BC threw a pass to the other side. JB said the threes were well defended and way out. I didn’t see it that way. We seemed to be a step slow most of the night. It was probably too much to ask to have a big game like the UNC game and play on the road against a team we didn’t respect two days later. I hate these Saturday-Monday swings. We’ve got two more of them and both have Duke as the Saturday game. All hail TV!

- CJ and Jerami were AWOL for about 25 minutes. When it was 37-45, they were each 2 for 8 and were not getting rebounds and committing fouls. They turned it around after that but ti was come down from their big game on Saturday.

- If we’d lost, it would have been due to a lot more than the officiating but it was certainly bad. The calls were inconsistent and seemed to go the home team’s way most of the evening. And then there was the mix up where the official scorer chose JB’s starting line-up and he had to start with Keita and Christmas with Grant on the bench, which lasted for 62 seconds. If Jim doesn’t like reporters telling him who to play, imagine how much he liked that.

Agreed, and during that time we were in way too much of an east-west mode. Once again, we started playing better - much better - when we began to attack the basket rather than massage the perimeter some more.

All 5 BC guys were above the foul line. Needed a low post presence.
