The Downside

- It was an entertaining game between two bad teams who could make the plays to win it until the end of the third overtime.

- Lucas Tayor and Jaquan Carlos, than you for your 2 NP in 54 minutes.

- We didn’t foul on that last play in regulation because of a moving screen that belonged in the Super Bowl.

I do have to say that , as crazy as it sounds, we don’t win without Jaquan Carlos’s defense in this game. Somehow he became a menace.
Hah that is crazy and you’re right.

I have to say, the end of regulation and in the OTs, Carlos was operating on D in a different gear that I haven't seen before. He was actually fast and menacing and Beadle is not a slow-footed PG.

It was a little shocking and also great to see! That he is capable of that... We definitely don't pull out that W without his clutch defending at the end. So definite props to him.

On the downside, where has that effort been for the rest of the season??

Yesterday would make a really good case study. Alot of adjustments that were decent and so many that were just bad.

At this point no one expects much but Autry needs to watch back tape of himself and his staff a lot this offseason. If he doesn’t fix his own issues real fast before next season that’s gonna be the nail in his own coffin.

And what is with the horrible FT shooting this year? Could have locked up the game in regulation if they had made at least one of the front ends of the 1 and 1's.
FT shooting always seemed to be an issue during the JB years, and hoped that that would be something that turned around with a new coach, but if anything, it's gotten worse

The bad free throw shooting from years ago was usually just the bigs though and maybe a player or two here or there. I’ve never seen Guards like we have that were so scared on the line this year. They just look nervous up there.

Maybe they're worried a bunch of message board losers will call them out if they miss.

We win in regulation if Carlos is a DNPCD last night

Free throw shooting has been a bad saga this year. Worst that I can remember in decades. I'm sure they practice it, but WTH. I think it's mental and nerves. (Spoken as one who was a decent jump shooter decades ago, but also a bad free throw shooter too).
