- JB, in his presser, said that Taurean Thompson had missed five defensive rotations and that the reporter who asked about him didn’t know that and was about to write about what a great game he had had . “Talk to Me!” said the coach.

- Taurean twisted his ankle late in the game and had to be helped to the dressing room . he couldn’t put any weight on his left foot. Boeheim said that he’d “walked into the dressing room”. I’m not sure when he saw that- after the game or did he think he went in under his own power after he got hurt.

- There were too many turn overs for the coach’s taste as well, (16). He attributed it to his point guards getting used to blowing by inferior players from the two exhibitions and the first two games. He said it was part of their learning process. John Gillon, who had had 9 assists and 1 turnover vs. Holy cross, has 1 assist and 2 turnovers tonight. Frank Howard had a couple of bad turnovers and Andrew White had 3 of them.

- Howard was the most yelled at player. He left two corner jump shot uncontested, one off an inbounds play.

- Tyler Lydon was guarded by smaller players all night and yet, per Salatin, didn’t “didn’t demand the ball”. When he got it, he didn’t do much with it, going 2 for 9. A couple times he just flipped up shots in the paint that looked like something the guy in the easy chair contest would have come up with.

- Our defense was strong overall but they killed us on the baseline any time they got penetraiton.
