- I looked up our bad starts: 0-7 to Colgate (we won). 0-9 Texas (we lost by 4), Cornell 0-10 and 2-14) (we won). Wake Forest only 0-4 but then 2-17, (we lost by 10), Notre Dame in the Dome 0-11 (we won) and this game, 0-17 and 2-25 and we lost by 9. So we won half of the 6 games, (but two were Colgate and Cornell). We out-scored the other team the rest of the way in the other three games but the hole we dug was too much to get out of. Teams making comebacks often exhaust themselves before or even when they catch up and the other team takes command with a run of their own. Then there’s SU tendency to build a decent-looking box score but to not make the plays at the end of the game to pull the victory out.

- Red’s most likely comment at the end of games is “we talked about that”. He uses it when the team didn’t do what he talked about. In this game, they noted that Stanford tends to get off to great starts at home and they went over in detail what we had to avoid that. This team isn’t listening to him.

- Eddie Lampkin vs. Maxime Reynaud: 12 points, 7 rebounds 2 assists, 3 turnovers and a foul vs. 21 points, 15 rebounds 3 assists, 3 steals and a block, 1 turnover and 3 fouls.

- JJ Starling is supposed to be our top scorer and team leader. If you’re going to be that you’ve got to do better than 3 for 16 and 1 for 7.

- This was still another game where a couple guys played well (Carlos and Lampkin) and everyone else was sub-par. You can’t beat good teams with 1-2 guys playing well. You need 3-4.

Good post overall, but sorry Eddie did not play well until he stat stuffed with the game out of reach. Carlos was the only one who played well throughout given when he was on the floor.

I would add...

- Cuffe only getting 8 minutes. I don't get it. When you watch him enter a game, he leaves his imprint on it. Sometimes that might be a turnover or missed dunk, but he provides max effort and usually the good far outweighs any bad. At least with Kyle, you know he's going to contribute. He won't have a boxscore line with a bunch of zeros like what we keep seeing with Moore (who I still really like - just not starting). Against Stanford in just 8 minutes, he still scored 6pts, got two rebounds, even came up with a block, and forced a couple of fouls and shot 2-3 from FT.
