The Downside - UNC II

- The tournament and even the season might be over for everybody. That’s a downside if there ever was one. But if it saves lives, it’s an upside if there ever was one.

- Our starting backcourt is out there to score points. It’s easily what they are best at. But they had nothing until Buddy Boeheim hit a jumper with 3:39 left in the first half. Buddy got going but Joe was 1 for 6 from the field and his only point came on a trey just before the half. Joe’s had a 30 point game this year and Buddy a 25 point half.

- The refs had stretches in each half where there was a run of calls against us, some of them pretty questionable. If it was an attempt to get the Tar Heels going, the result was strictly Weekend at Bernie’s.

There was a run of calls against UNC to start the game which hurt their offensive potential. I'm sure their fans will say it dictated the outcome of the game early.

I admire someone who's even better than I am at finding a downside to everything.

It's a good night when the only downside of actual play is that the point guard didn't do his usual scoring.
He limited turnovers and had 7 assists as everyone else scored.
And only put up one (that I can recall) of his ridiculous early in the shot clock long distance 3's that almost never come close.

Still want to see Buddy doing more in terms of rebounding. He had just one board in 36 minutes of playing time, and as a team, we gave up 14 offensive boards. Didn’t hurt us last night, but it has in the past, and will in the future.

Also Buffalo Wild Wings sucks and is expensive. I hate chain restaurants.

Disappointed Goodine did not play more. He missed a few shots but played great D had a steal and bucket. Wasted year IMO
