- Not only do we have to deal with no Fab, but Dion was there in body more than spirit as well. He had a 5 for 19, 13 point, 2 assist, 4 turnovers road trip in 41 minutes of play. We need them both ‘back’ ASAP.

- We hit 8 of 20 threes vs. Marquette, 40%. In five games since, we are 25 for 90, (27.8%). The game can be awfully hard when you have to got through the defense to score rather than shooting over it.

- The two teams were a ridiculous 8 for 24 from the foul line, both 33.3%. In the last minute, we missed the front end of three one and ones, (by Joseph and Triche, who both came in averaging over 80%), then two straight, (by CJ Fair, 74%) and then 1 of 2 by Joseph. That’s 1 for 6 and three shots we didn’t get to take while trying to wrap this thing up. Ugh. Double Ugh.

The free throw shooting was really horrid...really the only negative about tonight's game. Although maybe tonight was a good night to get our poor free throw shooting game out of the way.

On pins and needles during the end-of-game free throwing!!

They shouldn't call them free throws any longer nor should they refer to it as the charity stripe. Foul shots and Foul line. I think "Foul" shots more closely captures the result anyway.

On the season we are hitting at a very respectable rate, but foul shooting has gotten so poor anymore that they are anything but freebies.

They should propose a new rule that allows the team that is fouled to either take their foul shots or simply retain possession. In the last 5 minutes of the game if you elect not to take the foul shots you have to have a jump ball to try to retain possession.

If they make them they are free throws. if they don't they are foul shots.

I think enough has been done to aid the team ahead, (the one and one, the bonus, etc. You can't compeltely eliminate fouling as a means to get back in the game. And you shouldn't be looking for a way to make it irelevant if you can make them or not. Why should they be "freebies"?

That is why I added that jump ball element to fouls in the last 5 minutes. I just hate when you have a player like AO, Rick or Scoop that are hitting a very low percentage of their Foul Shots and it is a better proposition for the other team foul one of them to prevent the layup or interior score by fouling then to let the play continue.

I am not really serious about the rule change. I just hate when I see a play where a guy has a break away easy layup and gets fouled and you take a very high percentage two point situation and turn it into two 50/50 proposition one point shots. One team has made a good play to give it an offensive advantage and the other team can make a bad or off limits play (give a foul) to neutralize the advantage and even put them at a comparative offensive disadvantage.
